[UPDATE] HOLY-F*CKING-SH*T! I can't believe I've my first DD! I'm so happy! I logged into DA some minutes ago and I saw 650 unread messages, and I was like "WTF O_O"!

Anyway, thank very much for everyone that commented, rated and added me, I'm VERY VERY VERY VERY glad about it!

(L)

[UPDATE 2] Attention, everyone! I'm a very lucky guy to get a DD and all of these beautiful comments, but as I said before, i DIDN'T take the picture! I just did the general adjustments at the picture, such as the lightning, color mixing, shadows and so on. So please, don't give me the credits for this amazing shot! ASAP i'll try to find the original source, because I have this picture at my computer for so long that I don't even remember where I got it!

My name is Eloísa Valdes and in case you don't know it yet I'm one of your gallery moderators for photojournalism.

Congratulations on the DD!

I'd like to also inform you that we have a photojournalism monthly newsletter, called "Fear No More!, in which the DDs are featured, but there is also lots of informations: about contests going on, interviews, etc. This deviation of yours was obviously featured in there, along with many others. In case you are curious about it you can check it at: [link]

Oh, and we also have an official group for photojournalism now, it's called #NewsStand :flirty: I thought you'd like to know!

Fantastic photo, *chuckles* although her glare reminds me alot of how I used to look at myself in the mirror as a kid ... I had it no where near as hard as life could be in Africa but I had to suffer and endure with alot of hardships here and there

Anyways, great photo *laughs* I mean, I don't think it's ... specifically portraying anger, but that's the first thing I associate this with sense that's normally the first emotion I resort to in roughly every situation. Oh well, enough of my babbling. Again, great photo :3

It's very interesting, the first impression that i get when i take a look at her expression is completly anger and some kind of fear, but somehow her eyes looks like the eyes of a warrior full of bravery and courage!

What a compelling face. It's totally up there on level with National Geographic -like a story of the world through it's people. Fascinating. Staring at her, I want to know her.

For some reason, people seem to think that JUST because someone lives in Africa, that automatically makes them poor.

Just because people don't live in cities and in "regular" houses like others doesn't make them poor. That's just the way life is in some parts of Africa.

This girl looks like she works very hard, harder than most of us do everyday. She could probably kick the average boy's ass. :XD:
